One of the most admired Photographers I know in the Las Vegas Valley is Mikel Conrad. His knowledge of photography and the many years and years he spent perfecting his talent has shown in his portfolio of clients. Based here in Henderson, Nevada I was able to work along side with him on working on some fairly new technology in photography which is Digital Projection Photography.

Which all this means is there is an image that is projected near the camera lens from a mirror onto a special matte behind the subject. On the final portrait there is the image that was projected behind the subject (background) while the subject remains in the front (foreground). Amazing technology! He needed some digital matte paintings down so that he could start using for up coming clients that needed this type of technology or requested this type of technology to be used.

Deadlines were short and formats were very odd since it was formatted for a slide projector. Challenges arose and pursued and quickly overcome. Photoshop was the primary software tool used in the creation of the matte paintings.
